A sentimental poem about old college days at The Ohio State University. Cartoonist Milton Caniff wrote this during the depression while he was doing the Terry and the Pirates strip. By the time he did the illustrations for the poem, he was writing and drawing Steve Canyon. He was delighted with the idea of doing a miniature book, and was very pleased with the fact that we use archival paper. After all, most of his life’s work was on newspaper print. Unfortunately, he did not live to see the book completed, but enthusiastically told a friend about it just three days before he died.
